How to Paint Your Own Landscape Canvas

DIY + Decor· Uncategorized

You KNOW I love a good DIY, and I am a believer that we ALL have the ability to create beautiful things for our home on a budget. Even if you don’t consider yourself an artist, you can paint this – I promise.

If you love this canvas, but aren’t keen on DIY, please keep my Etsy shop in mind! I am also happy to create a custom piece for you (framed or un-framed)! Use code: LBBLOG10 for 10% off your purchase 🙂

Find a supply list below, and stay tuned for how I framed this beauty to give it an even more finished look!

I hope you guys really enjoy this tutorial!

Supply List:

  1. Rectangular canvas (I used an 18×24)
  2. Acrylic paints in the following colors: White, Morning Mist (found at Target, but you could find similar at any craft store), Sage Green, Dark Charcoal, and Terra-Cotta
  3. Paint tray for mixing (a coated paper plate works, too)
  4. Fluffy brush, flat brush, and rounded-tip brush
  5. A drop-cloth or paper towel for blotting
  6. A cup of water for rinsing your brushes
  7. Optional: Gesso, if you would like to use that to texture your canvas instead of using white paint
